I am not in a habit of writing down person specific, firm specific or industry specific write up's. I am also not the one who will try n bag attention by capitalizing on some good or bad experiences with people and firms. But quite frankly, from the bottom of my heart thank you Galaxy Toyota to motivate me to the limits of writing up a blog post. So much that i became impatient as a mindless insect to share my delightful, exhilarating, exciting and overwhelming experience of having dealt with them.
Unfortunately i met an accident in my Corolla Altis. The headlamps were broken. The bumper broke, was hanging in two. The left side doors got scratched and dented in. I, (as any other person would do) took it to the body-shop for repairs under my motor insurance policy. I gave in my Altis to the body shop. The consecutive day, i got a call from the body-shop telling me that the car did not look like it had met with an accident. Instead, it looked like it had been deliberately "BANGED". I applaud the guts, confidence and will power with which the "Toyota Man" said this to me over the phone. I deeply admire and appreciate the skills of the surveyor from the insurance company (HDFC ERGO) for being so shamelessly direct and disrespectful. So, my car was parked in this plant with it's file titled "NO CLAIM". After much efforts, my adviser got two left doors of the car approved. It speaks for the "Crystal Clear Communication process" at Toyota that took nearly 15-20 days for them to start with the doors of the car. To add, these people were confused about if the car was parked in there Moti Nagar plant or Kundli Plant. Remember, Crystal Clear Communication Process! (Ha ha)
Within these twenty days, i made a visit to the body-shop to look into my car. I saw my heart-piece parked on 3rd floor much worsened than i had left it, standing on a deflated Tyre. I asked for an estimated bill for the repairs (if we wished to) of the parts that were not approved under the insurance policy. I was given an estimate of Rupees One Lakh Thirty Five Thousand ONLY (1,35,000/-). Further, the next day my father (unaware of the SUPERB way things work at Toyota) called up to inquire about an estimated bill (if we wished to) of the repairs that were not covered under the policy. And he was told an estimated bill amount of Rupees Two Lakh ONLY (2,00,000/-). It was 30 days when my father (the hot head he is) went there agitated and asked for the delivery of the car. The people at the Body shop refused to hand over our car to us and instead started with a baseless argument.
On 5 June 2014, i picked up my Toyota Altis in a condition (as in the pic; to hand it over to an aftermarket repairs shop) that pushes; rather motivates me to write what all i have written.
