Happy New Year 2014

2013 was an amazing and an eventful year. An year of happenings, awakenings, surprises, shocks, scams, shams, scandals, revelations, revolts, retaliations, system-quakes and clean ups.

That's a lot to read out in a single line in a single breath. Imagine how much it is for a single year to absorb. This Christmas i was sitting with a friend of mine. He is from America and was in Delhi for a day. It was heart warming to know that he read my posts on the blog each time they were up. What surprised me was that he found me pretty much biased. He found me quite "Parochial"  with my ideologies. The word "Parochial" is a gift from him. Ha Ha!

I will try my best to break out from that image of mine. And if i fail to do so, forgive me for i cannot deceive my own self.

On 16 December 2012, a girl was brutally gang raped in Delhi in a moving public transport bus. This was not a good welcome to the coming new year 2013. But the consequences were moving. The media came out with unconditional support for the victim. The government for the very first time witnessed this boil bubble of anger, fury, frustration and impatience among st the population. Eventually all four rapists were declared a death sentence. From states such as Bihar and many others where the rape rate was very high and the rape report rate was very low; bold revelations and reports of rape cases came every single day. Rape laws were revised and restructured. Special departments were set up to deal with these kind of cases. It was first a happening finally leading to a clean up.

Happening - Awakening - Shocks - Revolts - Retaliations - System quakes - Clean up

On 25 march 2013, India's defense minister A.K. Anthony confirmed of corruption allegations in "Augusta Westland" case. Augusta Westland being a helicopter manufacturer was confirmed in acts of corruption when it signed a deal for 12 Augusta Westland AW101 helicopters with Indian Government. It was a Rupees 3600 crore scam. The deal now stands cancelled.

Revelation - Clean up

On 3 may 2013, Indian Railway's minister Pawan Kumar Bansal's nephew, Vijay Singh was arrested by C.B.I for accepting a bribe of Rupees Ninety Lakh for getting Mahesh Kumar a higher ranking position on the Indian Railway Board. On 10 may 2013, Pawan Kumar Bansal was made to resign which he did.

Happening - Awakening - Retaliation - Clean up

On 29 September 2013 i put up a post called Politics- The Prime Entertainment                         http://dimpeshrajani.blogspot.in/2013/09/politics-prime-entertainment.html

The point i cared to make was the lack of good examples of administration, leadership and politics in India. I further went on to appreciate Mr. Laloo Prasad Yadav for turning Indian railways from a loss laden cart to a Profit Pad. And the very next day i read of the man himself confirmed to be involved in a 1996 fodder scam amounting to Rupees 940 crore. He was further asked to resign as the chief minister of Bihar which he did.

Happening - Shock - Revolt - System quake - Clean up

Then somewhere in the middle was this epic scam that took place. A 77 year old spiritual guru was accused of molesting a girl at his meditation center. It moved the pillars of trust protecting his empire bestowed on him by his love blind followers and the people in general too. He as of now is in police custody. I wrote of him at

Happening - Shock - Surprise - Sham - Retaliations - System quake - Clean up

All this while when we the general audience in this amphitheater called India were being presented with a wide portfolio of events, a mega event was taking place keeping us equally glued to itself. The coming of Arvind Kejriwal as an individual at a later stage. His brain child what we know today as AAP - aam aadmi party. The man got off his desk of an income tax commissioner and took the lead. He dared every individual to dare and question the maligned system. This man became the face of the billion faces that comprise INDIA. Mr. Arvind Kejriwal will take the oath as Delhi's Chief Minister on December 28 2013.

Revolts - Retaliations - System quakes - Clean up's

India now despite all this, is getting back on track. If something worth not happening has taken place, an action has been taken against it and stringent measures have been taken to see history does not repeat itself. I am not happy looking at what all happened in 2013. But, i am certainly happy looking at the outcomes each time.

I wish all of you a very happy new year to come and i am more than hopeful to see a brighter India coming year on-wards.

Hey! that's what we are promised right?

Happy New Year

Farewell MANMOHAN, MODI Executed

Hi everyone! Almost a month, i scribbled something on this template to communicate and reach out to you through my views. Quite frankly, a lot has been happening on the family front. There's this lady designated (now) as my fiance, soon to be my wife who takes away my time. And she rightfully deserves that. So, bless us with all your good wishes.  But here, i am not to talk of my personal life. I had and have been reading a lot about the declining stature and reputation of Indian National Congress and the steeping heights Bhartiya Janta Party has achieved through these elections. The BJP has won the battle and now we have MR. Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of this great nation called INDIA. But, amid-st all this " halla hoo " of Election 2014, many people have been unfairly positioned and misinterpreted. And the greatest of all of them being affected, Mr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of INDIA for consecutive 10 years i.e 2004- 2014. Mr. Manmohan Si...

Yeh Bharat Desh Hai Mera (c)

The Thought Good Morning every one. On this day, the 26 of January of 2013, I put forward a poem, a compilation of thoughts about my country India. The poem is called "Yeh Bharat Desh Hai Mera". It is an attempt to bring out both the positives and negatives, this nation has to offer. This is India, a secular country to be called, but still puzzled in communal differences and riots from the times i fail to remember. This is India, where the Poor is taken care of. Where the poor or the poverty struck does not need to care about his meals of the day, for this land is never short on food for charity. This is India, where Politics is a mud-play, where the commons don't matter to the political parties. What matters is there holding within the country. This is India, where riots arise on the stupid reasons of being a Temple built or a Mosque on a piece of land. I refer to the Babri Masjid case. This is India, which was considered a third world country by the glo...

Happy Women's Day

The Thought To all the women of the world, accept this poem for all what you do for (let's admit) the men. Men are great and good but incomplete. And yes, somewhere irresponsible. So i'll not bring much to the embarrassment of my brothers round the globe and straight shot say, "Lady who the one? I say YOU the one!" Accept this poem as a token of love and respect.  A big bow to the woman of today To the thorns of forbearance laid her way To the composure, she holds within her self To the closure , that absorbs everything in itself To the mother, that woke up to get you sleeping To the mother, seeing you sad was she weeping To the beloved, who would fight the world for you To the beloved, for her happiness entirely is you To the sister, who in secret prays for you To the sister, her lips have praise for you To the granny, for you're the apple of her eye To the granny, for she's the "buri nazar" spy ...

The ANTI-Social Media

I just tweeted a few days back " I have always been a little late than others! When people tweeted, i facebook' ed . Today when i am tweeting, i wonder what's next genre? " And i seriously think i am late and lag behind in the race of the virtual world. Furthermore to console and motivate myself, i keep calling myself a bit " Retro " or a bit " Vintage ". I strongly think that Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and many other virtual worlds have encouraged, influenced the participation of  "Mango People" in important matters. The participation and the say of a common man has increased manifold. In fact, it has further broadened the horizons of human understanding about different forms of Art and Cultures. The social media has been a great aide in bringing recognition to this labyrinth of talent scattered all over the world. Politics is a clear example of how social media educates and involves people connected from all over. O...

शुभ दीपावली ~ SHUBH DEEPAWALI

शुभ दीपावली  Here's wishing you a very Happy DIWALI in advance today. This is one of the times when every city looks beautiful as anything. It does not matter if you witness this scene while you are on one of the streets of any city or you are in a plane flying over the skies of any city or you are in a train crossing the distances from one city to another amid st some villages too. It has to be a visual treat. From small houses to big mansions to corporate towers creating the skyline lit up so beautifully, they surely make up for a visual treat . It's like being invited to the visual Feast of the Almighty himself. All that is good but there's one thing that's not good post Diwali. While we enjoy Diwali with our family and friends by burning crackers, there is a Cumulative Diwali Syndrome being build up in the air which would act very soon on every one, once Diwali is over. We, the people, birds and animals are the ones who suffer from this la...
